Stims...

We are on Stim Day #2 at the Patterson household. It's going pretty well so far. I started the micro Lupron on Tuesday morning (20 units, morning and evening), and started the stims (4 Bravelle in the AM and 4 Menopur in the PM) yesterday. That makes four shots per day - 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening, along with taking 5 pills each day - bcp, baby aspirin, and DHEA 3x's. I never thought I would be able to give myself a shot and look at me now! :-) It will all be worth it when we are holding our baby in our arms! Here's the infamous meds picture:
But, once again, I have to appreciate and be so grateful for the insurance we have! The meds were around $8,000 of which we only paid $55! It is so amazing especially since I know there are so many people who have no or very little infertility coverage.

THat's awesome about the insurance!! I would love that!!! We spend 2,800 on meds this cycle. I think it's so horrible that my state doesn't have insurance that covers IF!! I'm praying that this is your cycle!!

It's so great when insurance covers anything related to fertility. We're paying a bunch to keep a policy with fertility coverage through Cobra and I feel so blessed that we have that option. Anyway, we're right behind you. I start stims tonight. I'm hoping that May will be the month for BFPs. Good Luck!!!

4 shots a day, you got me topped. Hope your tummy stays bruise-free. Completely jealous of you insurance coverage, I wish I only had a fraction of your coverage.
May is going to be a lucky month!

You're on a lot of the same meds that I was on this last time around...they totally changed my protocol and these are the meds that worked! :)

Okay, your insurance coverage ROCKS! That's a huge blessing and I'm so happy that you have that. I want to fight for all couples to have this type of coverage for IF treatment.

Praying that this is your time, girl!!!

That sure is a lot of meds. I am having a hard time remembering if I give myself my one shot. I can't imagine 4!

Amber, I had no idea you were going through this. I have a very good friend who is also having trouble getting pregnant; she is only on her seventh or eighth month trying, but I know she's already feeling frustrated. I wish you all the best with this new program you are on! You and your future family will be in my thoughts.
