30 Weeks!

Wow! Are we really 3/4 of the way through this pregnancy? Baby boy will be here before we know it and it seems like there is still so much to get done. We finally emptied out the room last week and Jason painted it on Friday while I was working. His furniture should be here this week or next, then I will be able to get some pictures on the walls. We still need to buy a few things - lamp and an alarm clock/cd/radio - plus go through clothes to see what we're missing. I'm starting to stockpile diapers and wipes when I see good deals. Oh yeah...and, we need to decide on his name. :-)

I worked the Hearts at Home conference last weekend so that wore me out, but I'm really feeling pretty good. Looking back at the last few pictures, I notice that my belly is getting SO much bigger. I have still gained less weight to this point than I did with Drake. My meals seem to be getting smaller although I want to eat more often.  Baby is moving around all the time now which is awesome and my appointments are every two weeks.

The Great Grocery Challenge

I am really bummed...I had a nice post saved with totals for Target and CVS ...and I accidentally deleted it! Unfortunately, I don't have all of my receipts so I can't re-create it either. I had two great trips to Target this week taking advantage of the $5 gift card wyb 5 select Kellogg's products.

I made it to Meijer on Saturday morning which was a great trip, too! Jason and I both had the $5/5 coupon in our mPerks accounts which helped a ton especially since it was a dog food week. I spent $22.94 and saved $37.85!

I'm pretty sure my total was around $42 out of pocket, but I have no clue what my savings was. :-( At least I stayed under budget.

28 Weeks!

We have reached the third trimester with this little one! It seems like we still have so much time left before his arrival, but I know it will go quickly. I'm still feeling good and haven't gained too much weight. I'm actually within the guidelines at this point so that's pretty good - 5 pounds less than I did with Drake up to this point. He's moving around quite a bit which is awesome. I love that feeling!!

I have an appointment tomorrow and then I'll be going every two weeks. This is crazy time for me at work and then we're taking a little vacation at the end of the month so March will go by especially fast. I'm hoping to get the room painted (picked out paint today!) and for the furniture to get here before we leave. I already got three pictures for the walls ready to go and the other two got here today. Now, we just need to decide on his name so I can get that ordered, too. Oh yeah...and, we need to buy a full-size mattress for Drake so we can move his crib mattress to the baby's room.

From BabyCenter: By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
