Why in the world is this happening??? We had 2 awesome embryos transferred and still no good news to share! Yep, it's official, this cycle is a bust. I'm compiling my questions for Dr. J now, so if you have any suggestions, let me know! Our consult is in 2 weeks and hopefully we'll walk away feeling good.

Amber - I am so sorry to hear the news. Just out of curiousity - have you ever had an HSG done? It makes me wonder if there is something in your uterus causing the problem. Because you obviously had great embryos - and also you had gotten pregnant on the IUI, but it just didn't implant. It seems like it's maybe an implantation issue? I don't know, and it's just a guess, but an HSG can tell alot...
Amber, I'm so sorry. I'm sitting here crying, just reading this. I do have some suggestions on what to ask your doctor, that you might have already thought of, but just incase...my email is jillaveritt(at)yahoo(dot)com. Email me if you would like to talk back and forth.
I'm praying for you guys...I know so well the hurt that you're feeling right now.
((HUGS))
I'm so sorry that it was negative. I'll be praying for God's perfect peace for you guys and His direction for what's next.
Love,
Lindsey
I am so sorry. You are right it does suck!
"This sucks" sums it up. I am so sorry this has not happened for you. It's not fair, but you already know that. Praying for and with you.
I'm so sorry. I'm thinking and praying for you. (((HUGS)))
I came over from Jill's blog and have just said a prayer for you. I will keep praying over the next few weeks. I am asking God to just carry you through this time. I am so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
Sometimes the first cycle or two is just about getting your meds right. Once I had all of my meds figured out, we've had good luck. Keep at it -- it sucks -- but the reward is worth it. Dr. J will get you there.
P.S. Did you do Lovenox?
Oh, I am so sorry for you guys. Do you know if the hcg was from a chemical pregnancy or leftover from the trigger and booster shots?
I'm not sure what testing you've had done, but you might talk to Dr. J about testing for blood clotting disorders. They usually present with 2nd and 3rd trimester losses, but they can also cause very early losses as well. I would also ask about possibly doing a lap to check for endo. I'd also want to find out more about those embryos that were missing something. Is it possible that the ones they transfered also had the same problem? If so, would pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) be something worth considering?
Of course, as Jamie said, it could also just be the luck of the draw that your cycle was a BFN. Doing everything the same could still result in a BFP next time.
Sorry for the novel. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Amber I am so sorry. Totally not what I thought I was going to be reading. I am so bummed for you. I was wondering about the clotting disorder I have a few friends that have that and have caused miscarriages. Praying you get answers soon and helpful ones.
Amber I am Jill and Alex's MIL, ALex's mother, I am so sorry sweetie and I am praying for you.
I am so sorry :(
Something to ask Dr. J. about possibly is genetic testing. Carle no longer has a genetics department, but there are several good options if you are willing to go to Chicago, Springfield, or St. Louis. I will email you with my personal story on why I say this.
I would too would ask about what other medications/dosages could be tried as well as having a laporoscopy done.
Hang in there and know that I am thinking of you!
Girl, my heart is breaking with you. The frustration can seem overwhelming. And I am praying for God's peace for you both. I wish I had some suggestions for Dr. J for you. Our first IVF was the wrong med protocol, followed by a misdiagnosis of Premature Ovarian Failure. If he even mentions those words to you, demand and FSH test to make him prove it. Our second ended in miscarriage. Most likely due to a blood clotting disorder called factor V Liden that we didn't know I had. And our third, we had the best embryos, and we had a chemical pregnancy. All Dr. J said was that 2/3 of all pregnancy's will end in miscarriage and to keep trying. We just finished a laborscopic in January where they found some endo on my ovary and ligaments. Which Dr. J said was enough to cause implantation problems.... Unfortunately, we're realizing that there's never a "one right answer" it just seems to be a heart wrenching process of timing. God's timing.
I'm so sorry...you're not alone.
(((HUGS)))
