You might be wondering what cost us this amount of money...but, can I just say that I am SO thankful for insurance!! This is the amount that our insurance saved us for the medicine for our first IVF! We still paid out $133.89, and I'm sure there is more to come.
I tried to take a picture of what over $3,000 worth of medicines looks like last night, but my camera battery was dead. This doesn't even include the birth control pill, baby aspirin, pre-natal vitamins (yes, I know, weird to be on this and the pill!), or the progesterone (I had a ton left over from the last IUI).

yay for insurance!
That is AWESOME!! We should definitely be thankful for insurance that covers IVF...so many out there do not have that.
((HUGS))
We should both write letters to our Congressmen (women??) thanking them for the fertility mandate in Illinois. There really should be a federal mandate for this stuff. We are extremely lucky!
All of the meds are a bit overwhelming aren't they? :) I'm still doing endometrium, estrace, and Lovenox. Ugh.
So I guess you've met your deductible already? :)
I think it's safe to say that we have as well. I got a statement from our insurance company today saying that they would cover my "surgery" on Jan. 5. Not sure what that's all about since Brynne was a natural arrival ... but at least whatever it is will be covered!
wow, you are so lucky your insurance covers that. mine covers only up to $1,500 for infertility, which, as you know, is a fraction of the cost. luckily, it looks like we may be able to get our ivf meds for under $1,000!
