Wax Museum

Last night my little sister and her class presented their "wax museum". They each researched a person in history (ie: Thomas Jefferson, the Wright Brothers, Rosa Parks, Abraham Lincoln, etc.) then dressed up to resemble them and told about their life. Aireol researched Martin Luther King Jr. and did her presentation as Coretta Scott King. She did a great job talking in front of the crowd!!

Finally....

I get another chance to post. Like I said in my last one, it has been a crazy busy two weeks, and I'll probably be heading to bed after this and who knows when I will get up!! Anyway...the conference in Vegas went well. The only bad thing was that we were staying at the Riviera (not such a nice place!) and that my boss' husband wasn't able to come hang out with Jason because he was home sick with a fever. Jason got pretty bored as we were in sessions most of the days, but it worked out fine.

The Hearts at Home conference went well too! This was my third year coordinating it and it has gotten easier each time. They really are a great group - just makes for some really long days (16.5 hours on Friday and 12.5 on Saturday). Saturday night was a belated birthday celebration that my friend, Heather, planned for me. I was exhausted, but it was such a fun evening! We met at Destihl for dinner which was great - my first time there - and then just went out to Kick's in Towanda to hang out!

I was up early today for nursery duty at church and then Heather and I headed to Rockford for our friend, Janell's baby shower. She is about seven months along, looks great, and got lots of great gifts!!

Busy, busy!

It has been a crazy week here. I was out of town for two nights at a conference in St. Charles. While I was there, I was able to go to dinner with a friend that I haven't seen for a long time so that was great! It was just too bad that I had to run back to work so quickly! Jason and I are headed to Las Vegas tomorrow morning - I have a conference there and he'll be hanging with my boss' husband who has never been. When I get back I have to work another conference (in town, at least!) until Saturday. It's a girls night Saturday night then I have nursery duty at church and a baby shower in Rockford for a great friend on Sunday! Whoo...busy weeks! I'll definitely post some pics when I get back but it may be a while.

For now...GO BIRDS! They are seeded 2nd in the Valley tournament...playing at 4pm today. Still praying for the Michaels quads - they are doing awesome!! And, amazingly, I'm still able to keep up on the reality tv shows -- Big Brother, Biggest Loser, Survivor, American Idol... and have you seen Oprah's Big Give?! That's pretty cool, too - Sunday nights.

And...a question for you bloggers out there - how in the world to I get a picture in my profile?! I can't figure it out...help!

Bachelorette Party!

On Saturday, a group of ladies met in Bloomingdale, IL to celebrate Michelle's upcoming wedding! We had a great time -- dinner in a restaurant at the resort, spa treatments, and go 'ole girl time! I can't remember the last time I was up until 2:45am!
I'm sure there are a ton more great pictures! Plus, there were quite a few I just couldn't put up on the blog...sorry!

Welcome Baby Lydia!

Just a quick post to say CONGRATULATIONS to my high school friend, Amy, and her husband, Nate, on the arrival of their little girl, Lydia! I know you've been waiting for this day for a long time, and I'm so glad it's finally here for you!! I can't wait to meet and hold little Lydia!

Weekend!

Jason and I spent Saturday running errands - dropping my dress off for the wedding to get altered, get measured for his tux, bank, post office, etc.... then we headed to Bourbonnais to visit our neighbors who moved back in September. They have a beautiful house, and it was great to be able to visit with them for the evening!
Claire spent most of the evening with that jump rope in her hand!
Even Allie was excited to see us! ha!

On Sunday, I stopped over at Jason's sisters and had to get a few shots of Caden. Here's a couple of his 6 months pictures and a few I took.

What a cutie!!! I just love this kid!
